Heather Ross joined Bradley Allen Lawyers in March 2009 as a Lawyer in the Commercial Litigation practice group.
Heather:
- completed a Bachelor of Business (Management) in 1999 at the Northern Territory University;
- completed a Bachelor of Laws in 2003 at the Northern Territory University;
- was awarded Attorney General's Medal in 2003 for most outstanding graduate;
- was awarded the Territory Insurance Office Prize in Law in 2003 for the highest aggregate score for the degree in that year;
- was admitted to the High Court and Federal Court in 2003;
- was admitted to the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory in 2003; and
- was admitted to the Supreme Court of the ACT in 2009.
During her studies Heather was also awarded the Law Book Company Prize for Criminal Law and Procedure together with the NT Legal Aid Commission Prize for Family Law.
Whilst completing her law degree, Heather undertook part-time employment with the Royal Australian Navy where she was involved in setting up a new Training Unit for the Permanent and Part-Time Forces at HMAS Coonawarra. Heather's part-time roles also included the area of port services, including foreign ship liaison.
Prior to commencing with Bradley Allen Lawyers, Heather worked as a lawyer for Minter Ellison in their commercial litigation practice. Heather advised large, medium and small construction companies, Government Departments, Insurance Companies and businesses in areas of personal injury, workers compensation, medical negligence, insolvency, contract law, insurance law and general dispute resolution. Heather also provided advice to clients on corporate law.
